Being a Mexican food aficionado prompted me to search for spices and textures that felt authentic to create Mexican food, I wanted to part from the commercialized delivery of these meals in my town. It was in that search that I learned that the spices and ways of cooking Mexican food were ones that resisted throughout time and cultural changes. I was moved then by the desire to honor the Mexican culture and culinary experience while bringing people closer to it.

La Resistencia-Mexican Kitchen is a little yellow house built in a 6' by 16' wooden boogie. From that small place, we serve a variety of dishes that emulate homestyle Mexican food. We are currently stationed in a park from where we serve a small demographic of San Juan P.R. Our love for the Mexican culture and its food prompted us to create our concept. In our quest to create our concept and with the discovery of Mexican cultural resistance, we ultimately decided on the name of our project: La Resistencia; where we serve resistance through food to everyone and all.
As the love for our meals grows, our kitchen can no longer keep up with the demand of the local demographic, and the need to relocate and upgrade has come. We would love to continue being part of this amazing journey named La Resistencia and for our Small Yellow Kitchen to be as amazing as its food can be!
What is the purpose of this loan?
We applied for this loan to help La Resistencia-Mexican Kitchen grow to be its best. In order to do so, we require an upgrade in our facilities.
This loan will help us with the purchase of a food trailer and its design, we will also purchase kitchen appliances that will facilitate our work and support the expenses for a transition to a location with electricity and running water as that is crucial for our development.

By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.

"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
