A loan helped a boutique real estate obtain needed equipment that will help compete with huge box chains in NYC.

Sharon's story

I was born 7th of 8 children to a single Mom who raised us in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. Although we didn’t have much, my mother always told me to grow up to “Be Somebody.” That was her way of saying be self-sufficient, be proud and help others when you can.

I am proud of my track record as a Real Estate Broker serving my niche neighborhood of Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Contrary to popular belief, there are still homeowners willing to rent to low-income and voucher tenants such as Section 8, HASA, and VA. I work with shelters and other non-profit organizations to locate good quality, safe, affordable housing. I educate first-time home buyers, making them aware of predatory practices and giving them insight into the pitfalls of purchasing with their hearts and not their heads.

I believe my Mom would be proud because my business allows me to be self-sufficient, proud, and very significantly, “Help Others.”

I named my business “No Place Like Home Real Estate, LLC” because to have a home where one can feel safe and secure to thrive in other areas of one’s life is a powerful thing and the primary foundation to happiness.

This loan is special because:

It will help this entrepreneur upgrade equipment and expand their business.
