A loan helped to buy livestock to increase her income from raising livestock.

Makhabat's story

Makhabat sends her greetings from the town of Toguz-Bulak. Thanks to her hard work and her husband's help, Makhabat has been actively engaged in agriculture and at present she has eight cows and 20 sheep on her farm as well as 1.4 ha [3.4 acres] of arable land, where she grows clover. In order to develop her business further she has reached out to the Bai Tushum bank for a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) to buy livestock to increase revenues from raising livestock and selling organic meat.

She plans to invest the revenues from the loan in an expansion of her business. At present Mahabat is 54 years old. She has four wonderful children. Mahabat's husband actively helps her with raising children and taking care of the household and livestock. The family has good conditions for keeping livestock; in the summer the animals are taken out to green pastures. Mahabat thanks all Kiva lenders for their support and sends her best wishes.
