Fatou's Group's story

This group was created in 2011 when the village bank opened. The group is made up of six women living in the same village who work together perfectly. Their principal activity is animal husbandry. Aissata has good experience in this area.
She is on the right in the photo with her hand raised. She is the key person in the group. She is 49, married and is a mother of seven children including four girls. With her loan she will buy some sheep, goats and animal feed at the weekly markets to resell them after a few months.
The profits will be used towards building a three-bedroomed house.
