A loan helped to buy animals to resell in order to support his family.

Ali's story

Meet Ali, a 24 year old Malian breeder who is married and the father of two children: a 4 year old and a 1 year old. He has been raising cattle for five years. Ali is happy to see the animals fattened up. He has appealed to the financial inclusion institutions for the improvement of his business.

He buys and sells calves in the surrounding market. He raises them for about 6-8 months and then the animals are sold in the local market. This business brings a lot to Ali (about 55000 to 80000 FCFA per cow).

Ali is also working in the domain of agriculture (growing peppers, rice and corn). Ali is very generous and has a very good reputation in his area.

In the future, Ali wishes to apply for more substantial loans, to grow his business and to be at the social level that would allow him to better provide for the needs of his children.
