Sela's story

Sela is a 71 year old mother with 11 children. She runs a business selling taro and banana in her community to earn a living. She has 10 years of experience in this business. Sela works very hard to please her customers with her fresh taro and banana. She thought to earn more income by planting more banana and taro, but in order to do this, Sela needs a loan to buy taro root seedlings, banana tube seedlings, chemicals, a bag back sprayer, and a chainsaw to help her run the business.

Sela delivers her products to the flea market using the bus for transportation. She comes from a family in which no ones works to earn a living, only her business helps her family needs. Her dream is that one day her family will be enjoy a great living standard. Sela became a member of SPBD in 2016 to seek financial support for her business.
