A loan helped to buy pandanus for her weaving and to hire a group of women to weave for her.

Piusati's story

Piusati is 41 years old and married to a farmer with six children. They live in their own home in the western area of Tonga.

Her business includes weaving, and only her children and husband help her with it. Piusati weaves all sorts of woven products such as mats, taovala, kiekie, and so forth. Her husband grows a number of pandanus trees for her, but this was affected by the volcanic eruption in January.

Therefore, Piusati is applying for this loan to buy pandanus for her weaving, and to hire a group of women to weave for her. She has many orders and the deadline is near.

She and her husband dream of rebuilding a new, bigger house for their children. She will strive for it.
