This group is composed of 2 women who share strong bonds of solidarity and mutual support. They live in the same village and seized the opportunity to join the banc villageois when it was set up in the locality in December 2011. Their main activity is small-scale trade and market gardening.
Madam Awa, (seated on the far right of the photo dressed in green with a black headscarf), is the representative of the group. She is 52 years old, married and has seven children, including three daughters. She is a market gardener. She has experience in this activity, having practised it for several years.
With this new loan she plans to buy seeds and fertilisers to carry out her activities and to sell the crops in bulk at the weekly markets.
With the profits, she plans to develop her activities by buying sheep, strengthen her savings and help her husband in supporting their family.
In this group: Awa, Yacine
