Victoria Adelante: Grupo 5 Group's story

Sylvie is Haitian. She is 31 years old and currently has a partner. She is a mother to one son. Sylvie has a seventh-grade education. Sylvie arrived in the Dominican Republic at just 13 years old. She came with her aunt as her parents had died in Haiti. Sylvie and her aunt came to the Dominican Republic in search of better opportunities as Haiti was experiencing a very difficult economic crisis.

Sylvie has been running her business for around ten years. She currently has a small grocery shop where she sells a variety of products, such as rice, beans, chicken, meat, cold meats, dairy products and more. Sylvie wants to use this loan to buy merchandise to stock up her business in order to increase her family's income so that they can be more financially stable.

Sylvie is a community leader as she is a coordinator. She is always ready and willing to help neighbours who need it. This is Sylvie's ninth loan with AEI.

Sylvie's dreams are to build a house and to see her business expand.

Thank you for supporting Sylvie and the "Victoria Adelante: Group 5" loan group.
