Margaret's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 54-year-old Margaret from Moyamba branch. She is a married businesswoman with nine children between the ages of 12 and 25 years old; five of them are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.

Margaret runs a retail business and sells onions, palm oil and pepper to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for five years.

Margaret says that she has no challenges in her business.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more onions, palm oil and pepper to increase her business.

Margret says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family and to increase her business.

In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
