Niquia's story

Growing up, I struggled with my image. I didn’t look like anyone in my family, was taller than everyone at my school, and heavier. I grew up always feeling outcasted because of my appearance. It wasn’t until I became an adult that I noticed almost every young girl felt this same way. So, I created a new fashion line by the name of LURQ which stands for ‘Love UR Qurvez’.

At Lurq, I want to help restore confidence in young girls and women regarding their bodies. Appreciate, adorn, and uplift their body confidence and embrace each flaw. I created this brand to not just be about fashion, but to expand into a community where body-influencing issues in society can be resolved, redefined, and repurposed.
