A loan helped a minority owned business open its doors that, was forced to stay shut during COVID.

Christopher's story

I started my retail career at Bloomingdale's New York's food division. After several years of learning all aspects of the retail trade and re-educating myself in restaurant operations. I decided to open my own restaurant and signed my lease in late 2019. I was scheduled to open in May 2020 when the covid crisis struck. I chose to open in Petersburg, Va because it is a community that is underserved by quality restaurants serving fresh food. My commitment to this end has motivated me to get this project complete.

This loan is special because:

It helps this business to overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis.
