A loan helped to buy silk headscarves for embroidering.

Ayşa's story

Ayşa is a 31-year-old married woman with two children. She was born in Haseke, Syria.

In Syria, Ayşa was sewing and embroidering and contributing to her family’s livelihood. Due to the war in Syria, Ayşa migrated to Turkey with her family. She always likes to be productive, and after moving to Turkey, she continued embroidering.

She heard about microloans from her neighbors in 2020, and applied for a loan. Thanks to loan support from TGMP, a Kiva field partner, Ayşa had a chance to grow her business and meet new friends.

With her Kiva loan, Ayşa wants to buy silk headscarves, on which she will do embroidery.

Ayşa is grateful for all the support.
