Our owners Gunjan & Himal Kamdar came to the USA in 2010 from India to pursue their MS in pharmaceutical product development & have always been interested in fashion & shopping since childhood.
Throughout the years shopping in various malls, They noticed that many retail shops weren’t helping others find the right outfit for their next occasion, and women were confused about finding stylish outfits for each occasion. While shopping Himal noticed there were many handbags on the market using leather material, so being an animal lover, they wanted to create and design handbags that weren’t made from real animal leather so they created very durable and high-quality Vegan handbags. So, with those 2 problems, Sybaritic Boutique was born in 2016, by Gunjan & Himal Kamdar.
Sybaritic Boutique started with just one kiosk in Christiana Mall, in the heart of Delaware, with Vegan handbags and other fashion accessories. After 2 years, Gunjan decided to convert their passion into a shop, a one-stop shop to serve women's clothing, handbags, Jewelry & other accessories.
Gunjan & Himal’s true passion was always to help her customers choose the right outfits for every occasion & fashion consultation in her boutique. During that journey, they realized that she was mostly serving women who were busy office women and were always confused about which tops or outfits they should wear daily to look trendy, beautiful & confident.
The couple had introduced their 2 unique designs of handbags which were listed on Kickstarter, too to make women's life more organized with multi-compartment bags (Tabulate) & multi-color flaps on one bag to make it cost-effective (Conve).

Every loan has only 30 days to fundraise on Kiva. There are 2 different options for how that funding is sent to the field:
Fixed: the total loan amount must be raised in order for funds to be sent to the Lending Partner. If the loan is not funded in full within the fundraising period, the loan will expire and any funds raised will be returned to lenders' Kiva accounts.
Flexible: any funds raised within 30 days will be passed along to the Lending Partner facilitating the loan and they will come up with other sources of funding to cover the rest of the loan amount.
What does "Partner covers currency loss" mean & how could it affect my Kiva loans?
When lending internationally, the local currency in a borrower's country may lose some of its value compared to the US dollar -- requiring the partner to use more of its local currency to repay Kiva in USD. We offer some Lending Partners the option to protect themselves against currency fluctuations by choosing to pass on these losses to Kiva lenders. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
