A loan helped a member to buy wool in bulk for weaving blankets.

Suma Qamaña Group's story

The Communal Bank “Suma Qamaña” is part of the Alto Lima agency. This group consists of nine members who are friends and neighbors from the same area. It is led by a Board of Directors in which Sra. Rosario is one of the officers.

Rosario is 47 years old, married, and has five children. She currently has a business of weaving blankets and selling them at the markets. The loan she is receiving now will be used to increase her capital for buying wool in bulk. She acquires her supplies from wholesale vendors in the city of La Paz. Afterward, she will make her products and sell them from her vending stall. Working in this manner enables her to generate income to support her family. Her aspirations include improving her quality of life. Rosario asks that the lenders continue to trust her Communal Bank group.

In this group: Rosario Mercedes, Juan, Edwin, Simon, Roger Pedro, Elizabeth, Jessica Jazmin, Maria, Lidia
