A loan helped to buy farming supplies to implement the nutritional improvement plan for his coffee trees.

Luis Angel's story

Luis is a 38-year-old coffee producer. His farm measures 14.08 hectares, of which 7.04 hectares contain productive coffee plants. He manages his farm with the intention of overcoming new adversities each crop cycle. Luis lives with his wife and two children in a community in northern Nicaragua. He has more than 10 years of experience in the coffee trade.

The loan he is requesting will be used to buy needed farming supplies such as zinc, calcium, boron, and other inputs to implement the nutritional improvement plan for his coffee trees. This will assure a good yield at harvest time. With the income generated from selling coffee, Luis and his family can have a better quality of life.

During the coffee-growing season, Luis offers 18 seasonal jobs to his community. This is the first loan he has received from PAC.
