A loan helped a member to purchase stocks of drinks, juice and spices which will strengthen her initial capital.

Umoja Kibabi Group's story

Anastasie is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and head of the Umoja Kibabi village group. She is widowed, 40 years old and the mother of 4 children all of whom attend school.

She sells various items and started this business 4 years ago with the startup funds received from her late husband. Later she joined the Hekima program to support her business during which time she evolved progressively. With this new loan, she will purchase drinks, juice and spices to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her activity is linked to the lack of customers.

She would like her children to continue their studies and to be able to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they give to business owners who do not have cash in this context of global crisis linked to covid-19.
