A loan helped a member to purchase rice, noodles, oil, and more in bulk.

Virgen De Urkupiña Group's story

The communal bank Virgen de Urkupiña, as part of the Agencia Collpani, is made up of nine members, who are friends and neighbors from their zone. It is led by steering committee, of whom Gimena is one of the steering committee.

Gimena, 44, is single and has four children. She currently has a business selling food.

The loan she will get now will be to increase her capital and to purchase rice, noodles, oil, and more in bulk, which she will get from the wholesalers in the city of La Paz.

Later, she will make and sell it in her sales space. This type of work allows her to generate resources to support her family financially. Her aspiration is to improve her quality of life.

Gimena asks you to continue trusting in her communal bank.

Only the steering committee appears in the photo due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
