A loan helped a member to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.


Everlyne's Group's story

Everlyne is 45 years old and, as the group leader of her group, she is representing 12 farmers from Lugari district. She is looking forward to be working with One Acre Fund for the first time this year as this means she will get the best quality fertilizer and hybrid seeds.

Everlyne has been a farmer for more than 20 years and is often described as a very resourceful person. She decided to represent her group because she was proposed by the team. With the profits she earns from this coming season, Everlyne would like to send her children to school.

Between the 12 farmers in Everlyne’s Group, a total of 6.25 acres will be planted using the inputs from this loan.
