Shahnaz lives in the city of Lahore, the second largest city of Pakistan which is known for its history and culture. She is a housewife and prefers to spend her time at home carrying out her household responsibilities and taking care of her family.
She lives with her husband and children in the area called Mughalpura. She owns a two-room brick house there. She is married to M. M. who has a business selling construction supplies. He has done this work for the past eight years and is well known for the quality of his supplies.
Shahnaz has applied for a loan from Kiva partner, Asasah, for her husband’s business. With the loan amount, her husband will buy construction supplies such as cement, sand and bricks in bulk quantity which will help him to fulfill larger orders on time and double his income. Shahnaz is hopeful that this investment will become profitable for her husband’s business and he will successfully upgrade his business on a larger scale.
