A loan helped to buy seedlings.

Driwaru's story

Driwaru is a 46-year-old refugee mother to four children, two of whom are school-going. She works so hard to provide for her family.

She grows cassava, beans, maize and sorghum. Through this, she is able to provide her family some food though she is not able to meet their other needs.

The season has been so bad and some of the crops died. She would like to venture into new farming methods by growing mainly vegetables like cabbages, eggplants, tomatoes and vegetables.

The demand for these products is very high in the community where she lives, and she will be able to sell more and provide all the needs of the family. Her dream is to build a permanent house.

She is very glad and happy for VisionFund and Kiva for all the financial support given to her.
