A loan helped to buy a smartphone for her child's online education during Covid-19.

Arsih Rokip's story

Arsih Rokip is forty-two years old, married, and the mother of one son and two daughters. She earns a living by running a food stall while her husband works as a laborer. One of her children is still in school. One impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on their family has been the implementation of school from home that uses an online system. This has made it difficult for her child to access the course materials and send assignments to his teacher.

Arish Rookie has applied for a loan for 8,400,000 Indonesian rupiahs (IDR) from KBMI at its Teluknaga branch to buy a smartphone for her child's online education needs during Covid-19. Her income is not sufficient to buy a smartphone outright, but she will be able to repay the loan by using the profits generated from her business.

Arsih Rokip is a very hardworking mother who always strives for the best for her children and seeks to improve their living conditions and give them a happy life. She is very grateful for the opportunity presented by Kiva lenders and wants to thank them all for their support
