Daysi is a cheerful farmer. Her farm, located in a remote are in northern Nicaragua, is 3.5 hectares. Of those, 2.11 has been designated for growing coffee. The farm is run according to the criteria for fair trade certification.
She is requesting a loan that will help her buy vegetative material to install a coffee nursery (seedlings) and to pay for the labor for these business activities that will allow her to establish 1.4 new hectares of coffee. This will assure an increase in her earnings and her quality of life. During the coffee season she provides 23 seasonal jobs in her community. This is the first loan she is getting from PAC.
