A loan helped us overcome the impact of Covid-19 while we await funding from the SBA.

Katrina's story

My name is Katrina “Katu”. I am a client of the Florida Women's Business Center in Delray Beach, which helped me develop my business roadmap. My business started as just a hobby and turned into so much more. I started with just a couple hundred dollars that my mother gave me. I went from just selling a few plates and flipped the profits until I was able to sell hundreds of plates. We quickly outgrew our home-based business and finally opened our 1st Brick & Mortar restaurant in January 2020. Our main objective is to be the 1st Mainstream Haitian American Fast Food Restaurant competing with the top Fast Food Restaurants like Taco Bell, Burger King Etc. Ultimately bringing recognition to Haitian Food across the United States and more. I believe I'll be one of the 1st Haitian American women to do so.

This loan is special because:

It helps a woman-owned business overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis.
