A loan helped a women-owed boutique expand to a larger storefront and fulfill their mission to empower moms.

Jenna's story

Hi! I’m Jenna! And I’m probably one of the hottest messes of a mom that you ever meet! I am chronically late to everything, my house is a perpetual disaster zone, and there is a distinct possibility that at any given time, at least part of my outfit came out of a pile on the floor.

I grew up in a small town in northcentral Wisconsin, and after graduating with my business degree, my husband beginning his career after the military, and having a couple of kids, we returned here to raise our family. In my children's younger years, I worked part-time as a store/office manager at a local retail store, which is where my entrepreneurial itch really started to take hold.

Shortly after having my 3rd child, I made the decision to not return to work and focused solely on being a stay-at-home mom. Then, in November 2019 I launched my blog, Hot Mess Mom Society, which is an outlet for me and a place where I could join forces with fellow hot mess moms to embrace the chaos of motherhood together!

It was from this blog that the concept of HMM Boutique started to take shape!

This loan is special because:

It supports a female entrepreneur in expanding their business.
