Tairene's story

Tairene is a married woman with a dependent child. Her husband is a farmer. For almost two years, she has managed a sari-sari (variety) store. She sells basic commodities such as cooking oil, noodles, sugar, condiments, soft drinks, and toiletries.

At the moment, Tairene’s main difficulty in managing her store is limited funds. To cope with demand, and to offset the high cost of some basic commodities, she has decided to request a loan. She will use it to invest in supplies like condiments, cooking oil, and canned goods.

Tairene is grateful to CEVI and Kiva for their continued support and she is more determined than ever to work hard for the welfare of her family.
