Omar's story

My name is Omar and I was born and raised in Ethiopia. I traveled to Kenya in 2004 with my family escaping poverty. Then came to the US in 2007 and started school here at Valley View Elementary school. Technically half of my life I spend here in the US while other siblings of mine did not get a chance to step into America. Growing up in the US, I had a passion to start my own business and that's when I started to focus on business administration classes at the University of Minnesota Duluth. I graduated in 2018 with a major in Healthcare Management and received a bachelor of business administration degree. Since then I've been focusing on getting Assisted Living facility license and a Home and Community based-services license. I got my 245D license in 2021 and started searching for clients. Now I got 3 clients and 2 employees but having a hard time paying my employees.
