A loan helped us to purchase equipment.

Abdulaziz's story

I was born and raised in my home country of Ethiopia. When I had my second child, I moved to the United States with my wife and two kids in the hopes of giving my kids a better education and a better future. For many years I worked odd jobs here and there but I was not happy with the work I did. I wanted a job that would allow me to be independent and do something that I enjoyed. That is how I discovered the printing and design industry. I knew that this was something I wanted to do, and I worked hard to make it a reality. I got my GED and went to college to get my associate's degree. I got experience working with machinery and learned the necessary skills to start my business.

After some time, I opened my company, “Quality Design and Custom Print”. Because of financial barriers, I have been working with limited machinery. I am hoping that with this loan, I can buy better equipment that will allow me to elevate my small business and provide better quality service to my customers. This will allow me to become more competitive within my industry. I would also like to expand my services to help and give back to my community. I would like to start helping people with similar immigrant backgrounds as me to learn how to become entrepreneurs and lead successful careers. I will accomplish this by leading workshops that will teach others how to enter my line of work and how to open their own businesses.

This loan is special because:

It supports a Black entrepreneur in expanding their business.
