Hi, my name is Alishia and I’m a 30-year-old full-time federal government worker from Baltimore, MD. Since I was young, I have always loved the jewelry and fashion industry. I made it my mission to always make a statement in anything I wear as your clothes can offer a unique story about you without ever having to say a word. I am inspired by fashion and want to be able to share that with my community, so they can also feel good and look good every day.
Growing up in the low-income area of Baltimore taught me a lot. To see people struggle in such a poor community motivates me to push harder and try to help those in need. I started my small fashion and jewelry business on New Years Day of 2021. I took the last 6 months of 2020 through a pandemic to research and plan things out while working full time at the United States Postal Service. I decided that 2021 would be my year! I absolutely love fashion so I decided to make it my niche.
My business provides jewelry, sunglasses, nails, etc. I want people to be able to feel beautiful. My business is located in the heart of Baltimore, MD. I have had a few successful pop-up opportunities and am looking to expand to meet the growing demand for our style of fashion so now, we are hoping to create a more permanent space for people to visit us. We are hoping to connect our community together through the art of jewelry making and are excited to continue finding new ways to bring our products to more people.
What is the purpose of this loan?
I’m applying for this loan to purchase more inventory, remodel a storefront, and buy a vending machine that will help people on the go. I would like to purchase new shelves, jewelry displays, and plenty of mirrors for my customers to see how beautiful they can look and feel at Littybylish. I would stock up a vending machine with jewelry and nails that would help people on the go to make a quick purchase without wasting too much time--especially for our repeat customers! I also would love to market my business online a bit more to get my new website out on a global level and reach a larger client base.
I’m hoping to fully expand within the next 5 years and have a full operation running. As we continue to grow, I will need to hire employees in order to keep things going, especially as I continue to work full time, which will be a great opportunity for us to expand our community goals to mentor young women in the art of jewelry making. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.

"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
