A loan helped a member to buy sacks of rice for her restaurant to meet family needs.

Ton Nafama Group's story

Nana resides in a commune not far from town. She is the group’s president, 49 years old, married, and the mother of three children, aged 4 to 14, respectively; one is a boy, and two are girls. Two of the children are in school. Nana is in the photo with a tub filled with rice. She appears by herself due to COVID-19 reasons.

She works in the restaurant business, as the photo indicates. Kiva loans help her with buying smoked rice, beans, and spaghetti. In her restaurant, dishes are often served by special requests from customers. Over a month, she can make a profit of 30,000 francs CFA after expenses. This helps her a lot in providing for her children and their well-being.

To be able to really satisfy her customer to the degree she would like, she requests Kiva loans to support her business. For the future, her dream is to help her children to be successful. The difficulties she often encounters include customers who come to eat on credit.

In this group: Nana, Djenne, Oumou, Massa Soucko, Doussou Damba, Aminata, Yaye Soucko, Faneke, Fatouma, Fanta, Mariam
