A loan helped to buy white rice, pork and zebu meat and other ingredients for its preparations.

Marie Pierrette's story

Marie Pierrette is 50 years old. She is a widow. She has two children, one of whom is already independent. She also supports her two nieces and her brother-in-law. The family lives in a rented house, in beaten earth, in a popular district of the city.
Marie Pierrette runs a food stand on the edge of a busy street. She serves rice with accompaniment, soup, and fried food. She has been in this business for ten years. Her earnings provide for family expenses. Since her association with Vahatra, she has been able to expand her business. Income improves. She manages to cover expenses more easily and can also deposit savings for her financial autonomy later. She was able to expand her sales stand, with the profits from her previous loan.
Marie Pierrette needs this loan to obtain the ingredients necessary for her dishes such as white rice, pork and zebu meat, vegetables, edible oil, flour and others. She hopes for the support of lenders.
