I immediately fell in love with the interaction of families and their pets. Brandy’s In-Home Grooming, LLC is currently located in Rogers, Arkansas, and fully services all Northwest Arkansas. We offer all grooming services from bathing, nail clipping, to full grooming and style. I employ also veteran bathers, groomers, and trainers to work alongside me, to make sure our clients feel comfortable placing their furry friends in our care. We take great pride in educating our pet owners about the grooming process, matting prevention, behavioral concerns, and products that can be used and purchased from Brandy’s In-Home Grooming. This education and one on one interactions keep their pets looking their best between grooms. My staff serves as a fear-free and force-free learning environment for dogs and their owners of all ages. I began my business two years ago, at the beginning of 2020 and at the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic. I knew not only did I want to own my business, but I wanted to show my community that we could get through the pandemic together and keep their beloved pets looking their best. I opened my Facebook business page and posted it to those who might be interested in grooming within their home. With my 22 years of experience in the dog grooming profession, word of mouth, and existing clients, my business grew quickly and my monthly schedule stays booked, with few cancellations. Today I have had an average of 760 customers a year, and keep on growing each month.
What is the purpose of this loan?
I need this loan to meet the growing demand for our specialty of in-home dog grooming. I need to expand the quantity and quality of my equipment and tools as well as expand my business by hiring one to two more contract groomers to work on their own covering all areas of Northwest Arkansas and reaching further outside rural areas that I don't have time to cover. The loan will cover their training as well. My traveling team will need dryers, tables, blades, brushes, shampoos/conditioners, and spa supplies. I am also needing a loan for a downpayment for a newer business vehicle that has better gas efficiency and all-wheel drive, as I travel long distances each day in all types of weather, and my personal car has over 200,000 miles on it. I would also use the loan for marketing campaigns for advertising. I would use Google ads and be able to put larger dollar amounts of boosted ads on Facebook and Instagram.

What does "Partner covers currency loss" mean & how could it affect my Kiva loans?
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
"No" means that the Lending Partner is not covering any currency losses and all losses will be passed onto lenders.
"N/A" means the Lending Partner disburses loans to borrowers in USD so their loans are not subject to any currency fluctuation.
Do Kiva borrowers pay any interest on their loans?
Our partners collect interest from borrowers because there are many operational expenses associated with microfinance in developing markets, especially in rural areas. Many of Kiva's Lending Partners also provide additional services alongside their loan products such as business training, financial literacy lessons, or health services.
Kiva will not partner with an organization that charges unreasonable interest rates, and we require Lending Partners to fully disclose their rates. In addition, we only partner with microfinance institutions and organizations that have a social mission to serve the poor, unbanked, and underserved.
