A loan helped the Brown Girl Paper Company offering Stationery for the Culture.

Tyeast's story

At The Brown Girl Paper Company, we create stationery products through the lens of the Black experience by acknowledging the uniqueness of our identities, the humor that’s embedded into our culture, and the complexities of our history.
We want to make sure that when you walk down the stationery aisle, Black people see themselves represented.

As a former classroom teacher, I noticed that many students were somewhat apathetic about their futures. However, when I mentioned that I was planning to start my own business, they would light up, get excited, and ask me a million questions about my entrepreneurial endeavors. My goal is to help young people, especially young Black teens, discover their passions and chase after them relentlessly.
At The Brown Girl Paper Company, we like to say we offer “stationery for the culture.” Our products provide fun modern options for Black consumers and all consumers interested in honoring their diverse friend groups, colleagues, and family members with products from a brand that values diversity and representation.
