A loan helped a member to stock up on second-hand clothing.

Maranatha 2 Group's story

Mrs. Josephine is a client of the Hekima MFI and president of the group MARANATHA2. She is the 53-year-old widowed mother of two school-educated children.

Josephine sells second-hand clothing. She launched this activity 20 years ago with starting capital supplied by her father. She later joined Hekima to help sustain her business which has continued to grow steadily.

She will use this new loan to stock up on used clothing. She doesn't have any particular challenges in running her activity.

She wishes for her children to pursue their education and would like to make repairs to her house.

She thanks Hekima and its partners for helping non-bankable business owners during the Covid-19 global pandemic.

The photo shows the group leader alone in compliance with social distancing measures.
