A loan helped with the hiring of additional team members and business expansion.

Terina's story

I am the proud Founder, Owner & CBO, (Chief Baker Officer) of CobblerWorld LLC. I have been in business for the past eight years. I have a retail site located in Downtown Pittsburgh and have been there for five years. I currently rent out commercial kitchens to do my baking and then transport them to my shop. Needless to say, that is a lot of work. For the past year and a half, I have been looking for a building to purchase so that I can house all of my operations under one roof. I have found that building and will close on my property at the end of January! The property is located in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh.

Additionally, for the short time that I have been in business I have secured contracts with Giant Eagle Market District, Pittsburgh Penguins, ACTION-Housing, Levy Restaurant and I have partnered with other local businesses such as Millie's Homemade Ice Cream, Roxanne's Catering to mention a few.

I currently have three team members, General Manager, Lytia; Distribution Manager, Simone and Assistant Baker, Jasime. This loan will give the added security of keeping them employed in our new location.

With my first Kiva Loan, I was able to secure all the necessary licenses for my business. Purchase uniform shirts, get a website established, and purchase job supplies for my products.

This loan is special because:

It helps a repeat Kiva borrower further develop their business.
