A loan helped a member to purchase a tricycle.

Los Mangos Group's story

Mariela Marisol is 43 years old. She lives with her youngest child and does not have relatives abroad.

For four years, Mariela has made a living from selling vegetables on foot within her community and neighboring areas. It is a trade that she learned due to the lack of opportunities. It allows her to generate an income to help with the household responsibilities.

However, she wishes to improve her business’s stability, because of which she is requesting a loan to purchase a tricycle. With this investment, she hopes to have a way that allows her to transport her product and thus have a better income. She dreams of having a better quality of life and to give her son a good future.

Mariela, along with Claudia, Luis, Gloria, Sulma, and Jeovany, form the solidarity group, “Los Mangos,” being responsible and enterprising people who seek the same goal of providing for their families.

In this group: Mariela Marisol, Claudia Judith, Luis Eduardo , Gloria Stephanie , Sulma Guadalupe, Jeovany Alberto
