A loan helped to prepare the land for planting lettuce, cabbage and leeks, to make an income during winter for a rural woman from a vulnerable community.


Hekurije's story

Hekurije is a 54-years-old rural woman, and a member of the Egyptian vulnerable community. She is married and lives with her husband in a small village in southern Albania. To provide for themselves, Hekurije and her husband do agricultural activities. They have 6 dynym of family land in which they plant different products to sell. Also they have a cow from which they sell the dairy products and a calf per year. Hekurije is asking for the first time for Kiva lenders' support. She wants to plant part of her land with lettuce, cabbage and leeks in order to make an income during the winter season.
