Nia's story

Hi, my name is Antonia, Nia for short. I'm from Wilmington, NC. I've been married for 7 years and I am a mother of 2 beautiful little girls. My mother has been a cosmetologist all of my life so I've grown up in the hair care industry. Being a cosmetologist herself, my mother always discouraged me from focusing on or doing hair because of the job not having benefits. I heeded what my mother said and got my bachelor's degree in psychology and I am currently working on an MBA-HR Management. While I have gone a different way with schooling, my heart always returns back to the hair care industry. Finally, I started my business in 2020, and I am looking to do my business full time.

I used to always whip things up in my kitchen for my hair and skin and give it away to my friends and family. I never thought to make a business of it. Over the years I've had so many people tell me they would buy if I sold natural hair care products and the people who know me or of me have always inboxed me with natural hair tips for themselves or their babies. I was always too scared people wouldn't buy or let work or school, or whatever get in the way! Hair has always been something I'm passionate about.
