A loan helped bUYING MANURE FOR HIS CORN CROP.

Ramon's story

Ramon, 50 years of age, resides in the Piedra Azul (Blue Stone) canton in San Rafael Oriente, San Miguel. He is a farmer, married, and lives with his wife and 3 children, ages 22, 12 and 8, who are economically dependent upon him. Ramon learned to cultivate corn from his father who taught him from the time he was small, to sow the earth. And since then, every year, Ramon has pursued this as his principal trade to maintain his family.

He is requesting a loan to buy manure for his corn crop. The loan will help Ramon obtain a better harvest and greater production to feed his family.

His aspirations are to continue cultivating corn in order to be able to obtain income that will help cover household expenses and give his children the education they need to get ahead, improving his quality of life and that of his family.
