The communal bank "7 de Junio" includes nine members and is led by Gaby, the president. In the photograph, she is shown with the treasurer and secretary; these three are the board of directors. They are in their 15th loan cycle and are considered to be a hardworking group.
Gaby, age 27, is a hardworking woman, responsible, humble, and very charismatic. She has a child, age 5 years, who is her inspiration to get ahead. She is a single mother and works selling clothing and shoes.
At this time, she requests a loan through Kiva to buy shoes, sandals, blouses, pants, jackets, and other products, to have variety and to satisfy her customers.
Her goal is to be able to buy a little plot of land of her own, and she works hard to do that. Also she works as a nurse technician, and so she is getting ahead with her young child.
