It didn’t take me long to realize this was something I enjoyed and was really great at. So we started with just selling individual plates and providing small catering options. It grew, and people fell in love with the service, so we have been expanding to larger parties (my last party was for a guest count of 50!) I pride myself in, not only delicious and decadent dishes, but superb customer care, and beautifully plated dishes with plenty of options to choose from. Being a single mother and basically running my company from marketing and promo to executing the catering gigs all alone, I still get it done. I just know I would be greater than what I am if I had additional resources.
Losing my mother pushed me to start my nonprofit as well because she did what she could always! I dream to bring awareness to so much within our community which includes:

I decided to start my business because I was only providing meal prep at first, then the pandemic happened and I decided to safely give a dine-in experience at home. I took all precautions for Covid, kept my staff safe and protected, no-touch delivery, and much more! From there it expanded to Full-Service Catering due to the demand!
What is the purpose of this loan?
I am applying because, at this time, sales have increased, and in order to execute I need more help, but I need to be able to pay them. If I were to get this loan, I could hire additional help which would give me more time with my business so I can book more clients. Also, I would like to use some of the funds for a downpayment for a branded commercial vehicle. The vehicle will be used for 1) safely transporting food for large catering gigs so it doesn't fall over and ruin its presentation, 2) delivery during the week for my sauce, family orders, and 3) marketing Mama Tecia's while I'm out on jobs. Flexible: any funds raised within 30 days will be passed along to the Lending Partner facilitating the loan and they will come up with other sources of funding to cover the rest of the loan amount.
What does "Partner covers currency loss" mean & how could it affect my Kiva loans?
When lending internationally, the local currency in a borrower's country may lose some of its value compared to the US dollar -- requiring the partner to use more of its local currency to repay Kiva in USD. We offer some Lending Partners the option to protect themselves against currency fluctuations by choosing to pass on these losses to Kiva lenders. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
