A loan helped to buy houseware items to sell from home.

Subhia's story

Subhia is married, 49 years old, and the mother of eight children. Her husband is the main breadwinner and works as a lorry driver. One of her sons also works and makes a limited income but it helps a little.

A big family means big expenses. That's why Subhia looked for a way to increase her income and take care of the children at the same time.

Using her deep and excellent relationships with her neighbors, Subhia started a business selling housewares such as spoons and dishes from home. She is requesting a 400 JOD loan to buy more products to sell to her customers.

Subhia hopes to open her shop soon and become the number one seller of these items in her area.

This loan is special because:

It empowers the most vulnerable and marginalized women in Jordan.
