Romenia's story

This is Romenia, a modest and enterprising 43-year-old married woman who possesses a strong desire to get ahead. Juliana lives with her small family in Dili, the capital city of East Timor, where she has a business selling fried bread with a variety of colors and tastes. It is a very well known bread because of its unique taste, and lots of people love it.

Romenia would like a loan of USD $1,200 to buy more flour, oil, food colors, and other ingredients in order to make more fried bread to sell and generate income for her family. She wishes to run a bigger business as the result of this investment, and wants to thank all lenders. This is a second loan; the first loan is already repaid.
