A loan helped a member to stock up on cassava flour and corn which will reinforce her initial capital.

Utulivu Group's story

Mme Solange is a customer of Hekima IMF and is the leader of groupe villageoise UTULIVU. She is married, 37 years old, and mother to 4 children who are in school. Her partner is a carpenter.

She sells food items and launched her business three years ago with an initial investment capital provided by her husband. Later she joined the Hekima program for additional support and gradually grew her business.

With this new loan she is going to stock up on cassava flour and corn which will reinforce her investment capital. The challenge for her business is the lack of customers.

She would like to feed her family and also for her children to continue their education. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support for business owners who don't have access to traditional banking, especially in the context of the global Covid-19 crisis.
