A loan helped upgrade our equipment and grow our desert business.

Tiesha's story

The first time I learned about cake decorating was in college. My roommate was taking a few cake decorating classes and I absolutely loved what she was learning. I didn’t have the time for extra classes but it stuck with me. I was gifted a cupcake decorating toolbox and that is where it all began. I fell in love with making cupcakes as baking became a therapy for me. After watching a cake boss TV show, it inspired the creation of Miss Piper Icing Bakery, a home-based business that expanded to a shop. My first cake was fabulous and I knew I found my thing.

Miss Piper Icing Bakery had opened five years ago thanks to Kiva. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic shut down the business slow down. I decided to change the operation of the business to maintain customers and reach new customers; thus the creation of Miss Piper Icing Bakery Cooler, a beverage cooler that stocks desserts in local stores. I am very passionate about growing Miss Piper Icing Bakery Cooler into a household name. I love to make life sweet.
