Mujeres Luchadoras Group's story

Azucena is 37 years old, married, and the mother of five children. She is a farmer who makes a living growing basic grains, an activity that she started 11 years ago by her own effort. She also receives extra income from a small grocery store and from raising yard animals.

She is requesting a loan with FUNDENUSE with Kiva funds in order to buy agricultural supplies and to pay for rent and labor. Her goal is to continue with her economic activity and in the future make improvements to her home and buy a plot of land of her own to grow on.

She is part of the "Mujeres Luchadoras" [Fighting Women] solidarity group, in the company of Maricela and Belky who make a living in the same economic activity.

In this group: Maricela, Belky, Azucena
