A loan helped to buy a pig and its feed.

Mariette's story

Mariette is a 30-year-old woman. She is married and has three children. She is active and attentive to the wellbeing of her family. She and her partner help each other to earn money. She has raised pigs for a year and a half. Her husband is an entrepreneur.

Mariette would like to expand her production of pigs. She wants to increase the number of animals she is fattening to receive more profits. She wants a sufficient income, and the family is also planning to build their own house, an objective that requires a lot of financial means.

Mariette needs more capital and has joined Vahatra to take out loans. She has benefitted from two loans that went well. She has begun to deposit savings with her profits. The next loan is necessary for her to buy a pig to fatten, as well as its feed. She will resell the pig to the butcher at the end of a few months and then buy more. She is counting on the support of the lenders.
