A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilizers to improve her crop farming.

Pamela's story

Pamela is a skilled farmer from a remote village in Bungoma, Kenya, who has defied the common thinking among Kenyans that agriculture is for the older generation. At 33 years old, she has farmed for 20 years now and is not thinking of turning back. Her primary source of income is milk from her cows, and she also grows different crops on her farm. Although she makes a profit from farming, Pamela is not comfortable and has always wanted to increase her income by buying fertilizers and seeds so that she can plant the seeds and sell the crops after harvesting.

That is why she is seeking this loan to buy seeds and fertilizers to improve her crop farming. Kenya's Bungoma area, one of the country's most populated regions, has a high demand for food. This means that Pamela could increase her profits and satisfy the existing demand for her products.

Pamela feels relieved because Juhudi Kilimo is partnering with the wonderful Kiva lenders to help hardworking and honest women farmers like her turn their farming dreams into reality through training and loan financing. Pamela believes that this loan will be of help and that she will be able to satisfy the demand for farm crops and increase her profits.

Kindly lend to her!
