The ten members of the Benkadi II group are married women who are on average 41 years old and have 4 children. They mainly live in polygamous families in N'Gala, one of the villages in the Dioïla prefecture, Koukiro region, Second Administrative Region of the Republic of Mali. They have been working with Soro Yiriwaso in order to better organize their activities during the rainy season. They cultivate millet, groundnut and beans as cash crops. They are on their second planting loan and the first one was repaid on time.
With this new loan, Amatou S. plans to buy supplies and small equipment and to pay for the labour costs to maintain about 1.5 hectares of millet and groundnut. After the harvest, the crops will be sold in Massigui to a clientele of consumers and resellers. They hope to earn an income of 50,000 francs on average from this planting.
