Garmai's story

Garmai, born in 1964 and the mom of 3 school-going kids, is a mother who would do anything to give her family happiness and see her children graduate from school. She has endured the challenges she faces in life for the success of her family.

She has hours of hard work and dedication on her business, where she sells dry fish, charcoal, palm oil. In order to always have quality goods she applies for a loan with BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner.

The loan will be used to buy more dry fish, charcoal, palm oil to sell. The income she makes from selling is used to meet the basic needs of her household. She has had 10 years of business experience. Due to this she is not facing any problem with her business.

Her dream is to open a shop and expand her business. She says thanks and appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
